This week we spotlight Kevin Geniza, a former professional golfer turned real estate agent who recently joined Brown Harris Stevens’ South Miami Office after a successful run with Better Homes and Gardens. Known as “The Pro Golfer Realtor“, Kevin combines his competitive edge and strategic mindset from years on the course with a deep understanding of Miami’s luxury real estate landscape. In his Spotlight interview, Kevin shares why BHS was the perfect fit for his business, how Miami’s market is performing this season, lessons golf taught him about real estate, and much more.
You recently joined BHS’ South Miami Office after being at Better Homes and Gardens…why did you decide BHS was best for your business?
BHS gives me a true luxury platform—boutique feel, world-class marketing and an amazing team behind it, and leadership that’s hands-on. My Pro Golfer Realtor brand sits at the intersection of golf, lifestyle, and real estate, and Brown Harris Stevens amplifies that with sharper storytelling, great tools and support, and deeper reach in the neighborhoods I now serve in Miami-Dade.
How do you see the Miami market in general performing right now based on your recent client experiences?
It’s active but selective—well-priced, turnkey homes in prime pockets still move, while dated listings are sitting longer and negotiating. Buyers want value, lifestyle, and quality; sellers who lean into presentation and strategy are winning. Luxury sales and cash buyers are anchoring the market and holding strong through the season.
As a professional golfer, share something you learned from your pro golf career that enhances your current real estate success?
Tournament golf taught me course management—know the conditions, choose the right shot, commit. In real estate that’s pricing, prep, and negotiation: build the plan, block out noise, execute under pressure.
Name us the Top 3 golf clubs in the Greater Miami Area in your opinion and tell us why.
- Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne: scenic, strategic, and one of the most unique public championship courses in South Florida.
- The Biltmore (Coral Gables): Donald Ross charm, history, and resort amenities—great for lifestyle buyers.
- Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club (Cutler Bay): water views, tight corridors, and a true club community—perfect blend of challenge and setting.
Favorite place to dine in Miami and why? What are you ordering?
Matsuri—my favorite sushi spot and one of the closest qualities to Japan I’ve tasted down here. I usually go for the sashimi deluxe or the special rolls; it’s consistent, fresh, and lowkey.
Your favorite Miami neighborhood and why?
Pinecrest— it’s mix of heritage & contemporary architecture, tree-canopy streets, walkable, and proximity to top clubs and schools. The Pinecrest Farmer’s Market at Pinecrest Gardens, and Wayside Market are my favorites. It delivers that refined, easy living.
Share something few know about you.
Not as many people down here know I’m from Oregon. I played collegiate golf at the University of Oregon and shared a year on the team with 2023 U.S. Open Champion Wyndham Clark.
Share a photo on your camera roll that means a lot to you and share why.

Lexi, my girlfriend and I adopted our two cats, Gilmore and Happy. They’re my family down here since my immediate family is all on the West Coast—it reminds me why I work hard and stay grounded.
