Personal Brand Power, On-Camera Confidence & Market Success: Meet Schuyler Morris

A rising star in Brown Harris Stevens’ New Canaan office, coming off the successful close of an $11 million listing in Greenwich, Schuyler Morris is known for her polished, relationship-driven approach to every client interaction. With a background in business development at Ralph Lauren, and on-air experience with HSN and QVC, she brings sharp marketing instincts and a strong command of Fairfield County’s luxury landscape. In this week’s Agent Spotlight, she shares why she has stayed with BHS throughout her career, her favorite local dining spots across Fairfield County, tips for showing up confidently on camera, and much more.

You have partnered with BHS most of your real estate career, why is Brown Harris Stevens your ideal real estate brokerage to hang your license?

Brown Harris Stevens aligns perfectly with how I do business. The brand stands for integrity, discretion, and long-term relationships, which is exactly how I approach my clients. BHS also gives me the freedom to build my business entrepreneurially while being backed by an incredibly respected legacy brand with deep roots in New York, Connecticut, and now Florida — which mirrors how my clients live and move, making it a seamless fit for my business. It’s sophisticated, relationship-driven, and never transactional — and that matters to me and to my clients.

You previously worked as a business development executive at Ralph Lauren, can you share with us how the power of your personal brand and brokerage brand is so important in your business?

Ralph Lauren taught me that brand is not just how something looks — it’s how it makes people feel. In real estate, you are the product, but the brokerage brand amplifies trust. When my personal brand — service-oriented, detail-driven, and polished — aligns with a brokerage like BHS, it creates instant credibility. Clients feel confident before the first showing even begins.

If you had to come up with something that separates you from the 16,000 other real estate professionals in NYC, what would you say that is?

I combine a luxury brand mindset with deep market knowledge and a truly hands-on approach. I’m strategic, calm under pressure, and deeply invested in my clients’ outcomes — not just the transaction. My background in business development and media allows me to market homes thoughtfully and represent clients confidently at every price point, especially at the high end.

Favorite Dining Spot in lower Fairfield County? What are you ordering?

I have so many!

In New Canaan, it’s Rosie’s. Everything is delicious, but especially their crispy cauliflower bites, the guacamole, and — if you’re lucky enough to be there on a day when the special homemade soup is artichoke asparagus — do not pass it up!

In Cos Cob, it’s Louie’s (especially if you love paper-thin chicken parmesan that absolutely melts in your mouth).

In Ridgefield, it’s Luc’s for Sunday brunch. Order the French omelet, French fries, and a French 76. Bon appétit!

In Westport, it’s Oko for sushi — hands down the freshest and most innovative outside of New York.

In Pound Ridge, it’s The Inn at Pound Ridge. Sit by the fire and order the crispy salmon sushi to start, followed by the parmesan-crusted chicken with artichokes. Yum!

Can you share a tip to agents who are looking to get better in front of the camera on social media, media appearances, and video tours to up their game coming from an experience actress and on air personality that appears on HSN and QVC?

Preparation is everything. Know what you want to say, but don’t memorize it — authenticity reads best on camera. Relax your shoulders, slow down your speech, and remember that confidence comes from repetition. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. And most importantly, speak as if you’re talking to one client, not an audience.

One thing to do in the winter in Connecticut and why?

In the chilly Connecticut winters, I love visiting some of the many amazing art galleries and museums we have all around us. I love the Carriage Barn Art Center in New Canaan (especially during the Deck the Walls small works exhibition and holiday market). The Bruce in Greenwich never disappoints, as well as the Aldrich in Ridgefield.

You just closed this week on a $11M listing in Greenwich, how is the high end of the Fairfield County market performing right now?

The high end is strong but discerning. Buyers are active, well-educated, and value quality, privacy, and turnkey properties. Homes that are priced correctly and marketed properly are moving — but strategy matters more than ever. The demand is there, especially for exceptional properties.

Share a hidden secret in New Canaan that you swear by that the world should know about.

The Playhouse! New Canaan has been lucky enough to have a movie theater from the 1920s that was recently renovated by Camilla Parker Bowles’s nephew (yes, the Queen herself!) into a luxurious yet cozy theater, bar, and pub. As an actress myself, I’ve always loved the movies, and this space feels truly magical.
