Newly Renovated, President Trump’s Childhood Home is Ready for a New Administration

The Childhood home of President Donald Trump is back on the market with a whole new look.

Built in 1940 by President Trump’s father Fred, the home at 85-15 Wareham Place in Jamaica Estates, Queens has changed hands multiple times, falling into disrepair, briefly operating as an Airbnb curiosity, and now emerging from a complete gut renovation with a modern aesthetic and $2.3 million price tag.

After years of neglect—including a burst pipe—the property was sold this past winter for just $835,000. Its new owner, developer Tommy Lin, undertook an extensive eight-month renovation, transforming the once-dilapidated house into a stunning modern residence while preserving its historic charm. The result is a 2,500-square-foot Tudor home featuring five bedrooms, three full baths, and two half-baths. Inside, there’s a formal living room with herringbone hardwood floors and custom millwork, a dining area, and a newly outfitted kitchen with Bosch and Fisher & Paykel appliances. A sunroom with an original wood stove overlooks the backyard, while upstairs, the primary suite offers a private bath and dressing area. The finished basement includes a family room and laundry space, and outside there’s a two-car detached garage and landscaped yard.

Set within the tree-lined enclave of Jamaica Estates, the home reflects the area’s architectural character and enduring appeal. While the Trump connection undoubtedly gives the listing an extra layer of historical notoriety, its new value rests on craftsmanship and location rather than name recognition alone.

The property is listed with Jevon Gratineau.
