Ontario is a city in San Bernardino County located approximately 35 miles east of Los Angeles. The city developed from the Ontario Model Colony, an agricultural settlement established in the late 19th century with a planned street grid and irrigation system. Today, Ontario includes residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, industrial areas, parks, cultural institutions, and major transportation facilities. The city is part of the Inland Empire and has developed into a regional center for logistics, manufacturing, retail, and other industries. Housing includes single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes, and apartments, with properties varying in age, size, architecture, and amenities. Major destinations include Ontario International Airport, Ontario Mills, Toyota Arena, and the Ontario Convention Center. The city also includes parks, golf courses, community facilities, and access to nearby outdoor areas in the San Bernardino Mountains. Interstate 10, Interstate 15, State Route 60, and State Route 83 provide connections throughout the Inland Empire and greater Southern California.
