Crown Heights

by

Crown Heights is a central Brooklyn neighborhood bordered by Prospect Heights, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, and Prospect Lefferts Gardens. The area features a mix of 19th- and early 20th-century brownstones, limestone row houses, pre-war apartment buildings, and newer residential developments. Eastern Parkway forms a prominent corridor, linking the neighborhood to major cultural institutions including the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden, with Prospect Park located along its western edge. Commercial activity is concentrated along Franklin, Nostrand, and Utica Avenues. Crown Heights is served by the 2, 3, 4, and 5 subway lines, providing access to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn.
