7 Gracie Square

by

7 Gracie Square is a distinguished pre-war cooperative built in 1929, located between East End Avenue and the East River. Designed by George B. Post & Sons with consulting architect Rosario Candela, the 16-story red brick building features a striking tan marble base and overlooks Carl Schurz Park. Its standout iron-and-brass entryway, designed by muralist Arthur W. Crisp, is famed for intricate animal and plant motifs and was meticulously restored in 1993.
