880 Fifth Avenue

by

Designed by Emery Roth and built in 1948, 880 Fifth Avenue was the first post-WWII building completed on Fifth Avenue and Roth’s last there. It features buff-colored bricks over limestone bases, a more elegant style than later glazed brick designs. Among Roth’s Central Park-facing buildings, 880 Fifth stands out as one of his most impressive, and it’s the only twin-towered building on Fifth Avenue.
