Bess Freedman Named to Inman’s Inaugural Advisory Council

Inman has announced the formation of its inaugural Advisory Council—bringing together some of the most influential executives in residential real estate to help shape the industry’s future.

Among the distinguished leaders selected is Bess Freedman, CEO of Brown Harris Stevens.

The new council represents a strategic effort by Inman to deepen its engagement with top decision-makers across brokerage, technology, and real estate services. According to Inman, the Advisory Council will serve as a “working group of senior leaders” who will meet regularly with Inman leadership to provide direct input on editorial direction, product development, research, and live events.

The council is designed as an active forum for industry feedback and collaboration. Members will help guide how Inman covers key issues, builds new offerings, and evolves its role as a central hub for real estate intelligence and innovation.

Freedman joins a select group of executives chosen for their ability to provide insight into the challenges and opportunities shaping today’s real estate landscape. Inman leadership emphasized that the Advisory Council is intended to be candid and action-oriented, ensuring the platform continues to evolve in step with the professionals it serves.

For her part, Freedman has been incredibly vocal about policies affecting real estate agents and consumers, from NYC’s pied-a-terre tax and private listing networks to interest rates and inventory challenges.
