Brown Harris Stevens brokers Jeffrey Zoldan and Roger Gillen recently represented the seller in the $7.5 million sale of the former Marlborough Gallery space at 545 West 25th Street in the heart of Chelsea’s renowned gallery district.

The buyer, Gazelli Art House, plans to transform the iconic property into its permanent New York home, ensuring the space remains dedicated to the arts.

Spanning 9,228 square feet across the first and second floors of Chelsea Arts Tower, the gallery was purpose-built to exhibit museum-quality works.

The property features soaring 18-foot ceilings, a street-level garage door designed to accommodate monumental artwork, rare curb-cut access for seamless art handling, and a private 1,250-square-foot terrace—amenities that make it one of the most distinctive gallery spaces in Manhattan.

Marlborough Gallery, once considered one of the pioneers of the global mega-gallery model, closed its doors in 2024 after nearly 80 years in business. Its former Chelsea headquarters now becomes the permanent New York home of Gazelli Art House, an international gallery with locations in London and Baku, reinforcing Chelsea’s enduring role as one of the world’s premier destinations for contemporary art.
